Spring blooms

If you are looking for a feature plant for your garden then you can’t really look past the Pride of madeira. A spectacular shrub with blue conical shaped flowers.

This particular variety is Echium fastuosum ‘Duxfield Blue’ which is a smaller variety to the standard Echium candicans. Duxfield Blue grows to approximately 1.5m wide x 1.5m high. Flowers are an intense blue/purple, almost magenta.

It is incredibly easy to grow, tolerant of most conditions. Does need full sun, but will tolerate poor soils, windy conditions and low water.
